I'm new to android so please don't bite!

After years of Windows laptops and pc's, and symbian phones.
I have purchased a second hand Android tablet to many use
with my car (Yes I'm a petrol head)

I had been staying away from newer tech as of health issues,
and thought it best to start back in a little bit at a time, and
to help with my main project/hobby.

I am diabetic, I am disabled, but I am not dead yet!!!!!

My eyes had been affected by my diabetes in such a way that
I have had lazer treatment to just keep what sight I have.
Unfortunately this ment years of lazer treatment, and I had not
seen the point of upgrading when I had problems seeing the
screen.

So I chose to do something with my hands to keep me from
going bonkers out of boredom and frustration. So I have been
replacing my car's engine and gear box/transmission from a 4
cylinder 2000cc engine and 3 speed hydraulic automatic
transmission to a V6 cylinder 3301cc engine and a 4 speed
electronically controlled automatic transmission.

On most forums I go by the user name Mitsuru but that was
taken on this forum.

So my first tablet was bought as it was in good condition and
without research, yes I know a big mistake! and I thought it
best to join a forum and to find out what can be done with it.

The other reason I bought this tablet, it was a UK seller on ebay
not from china, and it was cheap. If it is going to be used on
or with the car I can expect it to get damaged.

The tablet
The Disgo Tablet 6000
7-inch, 800 x 480,
Android 2.1 device
256MB of RAM
iMAPx200, 1GHz processor.

However in the device details on it states
Software version 1.1
Kernal version 2.6.***

Sorry I ramble occasionally.
