Well, I was looking into t-mobile website and they are offering the phone completely free so I told my step dad and brother let's get a family plan (its way cheaper than a single line) and they said alright. So I just need to know is the phone with getting, any downsides to the phone?

It's a decent phone but nothing special about it.. It all depends in what you looking for in a phone..
The top end phones like samsung galaxy s, s2 & now s3.. Or samsung nexus etc etc
