Im seeing it this week.

Well if the out-of-contract pricing pans out and it's around $99-$199 for the phone without contract... I am still getting it... Hoping it is rootable & that XDA'rs will be able to fully port the HTC Sence of the Eris at first & then of the HTC Bravo once release.... HTC Bravo Software for HTC Eris price for out of contract...

That sounds great, but that could take a while. Who knows. If they are truly the same phone, then maybe not. The rumors say they are, but are they "really."

Yeah, Storm = Frisbee would be a great day. Surfing the web on the storm is a nightmare and even though you CAN multi-task, asking it to do so, is like watching paint dry. Ugg, it takes forever.

I just saw the review of the HD2 by MobileTechWorld and it looks sweet, even for a windows phone. But put Android on that bad boy with sense UI and you have a winner!!!

Agreed, and after having heard that Multi-touch is not incorporated, my excitement for this phone is waning.

It looks like I will be waiting for the Bravo/Passion with Sense so we can have the Multi-touch and awesome UI experience that Android is meant to be. Really goes to show how amazing HTC is with their Sense additions.

I guess I am hoping to have the Droid Eris, but with a bigger screen and faster processor. Is that too much to ask for??? :)

Thats why god invented the "rooting/rom" community :p

My G1 would be boring as nails if it wasnt for custom ROMS.
Considering I can get Sense ui / Android 2.0 on my G1 im sure someone will port over a stable and fast version once(if) the nexus is rooted.

Thankfully thats the way I view Android now. I look at hardware specifics and assume most software flaws can be dealt with via 3rd party or the open source community.
