Help Im so confused - Superpad

My daughter bought a used superpad, then her brother put a pattern password on it which he then forgot. 15 attempts later the pad forces you to use your email to access. But we have no idea what the email is as it was purchased used. I read here to try and reset factory settings. I have tried holding the home and power key, and nothing happens. What do i do?

Don't you have to hold the button on the front as well as home and the power key? That should take you into the recovery software where you can factory reset.

I'll also move to the superpad forum, in case users of the device can assist.
