im stuck rezound or nexus

Nexus or Rezound, I am coming from the original incredible, I like the Rezound but everyone I know is telling me the Nexus is better is this really that much difference between them besides the fact they will get updates from google with the nexus?

It is matter of preference. If you want to root and Rom your phone, get the Nexus. It seemed boring to me without doing that.

If you want an amoled screen, get the Nexus. If you want better reception (better than the Nexus according to many people) get the Rezound. If you want more OTA updates, and be one of the first to get them, get the Nexus. If you want ICS without waiting or rooting, get the Nexus.

If you want Beats audio without getting an audio control app to tweak the sound get the Rezound. If you want more pixels per inch in a display, the Rezound has it. Rezound is only $100, and comes with Beats earbuds, which to me seem sturdy and high quality, compared to what I'm used to, Skull Candy.

Battery life is awesome with the Rezound if you get the extended battery, which is 2,750 mah. However, it makes the thing feel like an old brick phone.

You're in the right place to explore this forum and research! Good luck.

thanks for the reply i think im going to go with the rezound and get that extended battery, ive rooted my incredible but i dont really care for all that

I loved my htc incredible and hated my Samsung charge. Absolutely loving my rezound! Personal preference but after reading some threads i knew the safe bet was the rezound. I just don't trust Samsung.

CThe rezound is basically the incredible 3, if you liked you dinc you will love the rezound. Its better than the nexus in nearly every way.

Yea deff go with the rezound if your not into rooting n all that ish. I am a noob, and wasnt satisfied with the nexus for numerous reasons, but its great for those who root. Got the rezound now and I am again as happy as I was with the incredible. Cheers:D

Get the Rezound. Much better screen and the GNex has bad reception.

Plus if you're used to the Inc then you probably like Sense.

This is a great phone, it works really well stock. Even if you don't want to play with ROMs you can just root and get rid of the bloatware.

Not sure why people are saying if you don't want to root get this phone, unless it's because you don't need to, but if you want to there are ROMs a plenty. And lots of them are ICS ROMs and they're getting better every day. I might try one myself soon!

Well, I'm trying to decide for myself. I played with both phones in the Verizon store, and the screen on the Rezound blows the Nexus out of the water. The feel of the Rezound is much better, and the movement along the UI is much smoother than the Gnex. I'm coming from the Tb, so I might be a little biased. The only thing holding me back on the Rezound is NOT having ICS. . .

I know it's not scientific or necessarily objective, one of the main reasons I picked the Rezound was that it "felt just right". Ever since the first time I heard about the Bionic, I knew I had to get it, that is until it finally came out and I tried it. Then, I thought maybe the Razr, but once again, ehhhh it was "Ok". Then I wanted the GNex, but it just didn't "do it for me". I wanted to be "blown away, like WOOOWWWW!!!" like I was when I first saw and played with the OG Droid.

The Rezound did that for me. Smooth operation as I navigated through it, beautiful screen, perfect size, shape, and top-end specs. Throw in the $200 I paid (Razr and Gnex were $300), beats (with earbuds), I knew I had to have it.

The Gnex felt boring and empty to me, lacking character and soul. I thought "it's awesome if you immediately root and ROM it, but not for me", and sure enough a friend of mine did just that, within hours, and loves it very much!
