Composing this from my fresh new Galaxy SII. Engadget was right, this is the best smartphone to date.
I expected it to be impressive based on what I've read. But until you actually have it in hand, you just can't appreciate the goodness.
Much had been made of its lightweight plastic. But hey, it's no longer 1960, plastics have come a long way. The phone is solid. There's no creaking or movement from any area. The battery door is a proper fit and I like its balance when using it.
