Image Shortcut [Tools]

[arnodenhond]

The other day I realized it could be nice to be able to have a shortcut on the homescreen directly to a specific image in the gallery.
Of course there is the picture widget, but it takes up a lot of space and clicking on it does not show it full screen.
So i made a tiny (9kb) app to meet my need.
It does not have any UI of its own. When creating a shortcut it uses the default gallery app to select the image.
The shortcut shows the thumbnail and the title of the image.
When clicking on it, the default gallery app is also used to display it full screen.

The app is free, does not have any advertising, does not request any permissions and you can even get the source code on my site Image Shortcut - Android Application Development Tutorials and Free Components
Is this app usefull to anybody besides myself?

Brilliant, just what I wanted to do. I've got my teaching timetable as a gif, and now have an easy way to open it instantly and check where the hell I should be next! Ta.
