images in gmail

Hi, I just added an account to my Gmail app on my Samsung Galaxy S4. If I get an email with images, I have to manually click on the button that says "Show Images" every time I open an email. On my computer, I changed the setting so that it opens external images every time; I can't, however, figure out how to do it in the Gmail app on the phone. I've gone into the settings -- both general and for that specific account -- and I can't find an option to always load external images.

I know there were some changes made recently to the app as far as images go, but from what I've found, it's more the opposite problem: that people can't manually turn images on.

Help?

Open the gmail app and then go to settings. If you click on your gmail account and scroll to the bottom, you should see images. Change to "always show". (Version 4.9 ... I think that's the latest)

Yup, turns out I was running version 4.7.1, so I was DEFINITELY due for an upgrade. I can't believe I didn't think of that. ;) I downloaded it and now that option is there. Thanx so much!
