Images not displaying in Gmail.

I cannot work out how to make my Gmail account display images in emails properly.

As an example, today I received an rmail with ten images in it. I instruct Gmail to display them but it will only display three. The others are in a list at the bottom with the option to download or preview. I then have to preview them one at a time!

Also, the images never display in the correct place. I get a load of empty boxes with the tiny square in the centre and the images that are displayed appear much lower down the message.

On my PC all images display perfectly, this problem is only with my Samsung Galaxy S2.

I've tried everything. My wifi signal is very strong so it's nothing to do with that.

I am also posting in the Galaxy S2 forum just in case it's a problem peculiar to that model.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

Push your menu button > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All tab then scroll to Gmail. Clear data, push your home button and try Gmail again.

Thank you for that, it did help but not 100% as it still only displays about six or seven, out of ten images.

I have found that accessing Gmail using my web browser (Dolphin) works perfectly and all images are downloaded but using the Gmail app that came with my S2 is when I have the problems.

I'm beginning to suspect some kind of connectivity problem. Many times it tells me that there is no connection, when I know that there is, and pressing the 'Try Again' button usually works.

Until I can find a solution I shall access Gmail using my web browser.
