Help IMAP & Sent items

The default email app doesn't include Sent Items when synching with the IMAP server folders.

Is there another free good email app that gets round this issue?

If I reply to an email on my phone or tablet I want to be able to see the reply on my PC or laptop.

That surprises me. I haven't used IMAP for some time but I although didn't use the default email app for a variety of reasons anyway this wasn't one of them. Perhaps it uses a different name for the sent items (so they don't end up where you expect) but can't imagine they don't get synced.

That said I tried several email apps that all offered better configurability, allowing me to use the same set of folder names used by other mail clients, including of course "sent" items. I liked K9 and Maildroid for different reasons but both worked well. There are lots of others to choose from too.

I use AquaMail now with no problems, but I used the standard email app for a long time and it always synced fine. However, if you have sync set to 'Never' then of course folders won't sync until you manually force a sync.
