I am planning on making the conversion from an iPhone to an HTC One. For the most part I think that the transition will be seamless but I am a bit wary of losing the iMessage app.
After doing some research and reading some of the other threads I know that iMessage uses Apple's own servers to send the messages through. While most of the complaints that have been raised have been over quality of videos sent, that is not my worry. I have become used to the idea of being able to send and receive my text messages over my data/wi-fi instead of having to use up my text message allowance.
Is there some app on Android that would allow me to send my texts through my data service and also receive them through data instead, but not make other people have to download an app on their phones?
