importing contacts from iphone WITHOUT iphone

Hi I'm new.

I've just got my nexus 4, and I gave my old iphone away as a xmas gift. I took a backup of it with itunes before I gave it away.
So I cant do the gmail export/import and I cant do it the copytrans way either.

Is there anyway to import contacts from itunes backup folder?

no I've already searched everythign i can find on the subject. Quoting from that page you sent :

Before you even touch your new Android phone, you will want to plug your old iPhone into your computer and open iTunes.

again, I dont have the phone anymore, just the backup files.

What form are the backup files in? Are you able to transfer them to Gmail?

Try the iPhone backup extractor program from my first post. You said you already did a backup before you gave the phone away, the program should work for you.

As an alternative try logging in at iCloud.com with your Apple id and click on the contacts icon. You may have been automatically backed up there. If so, export the contacts to your desktop then import them into Google.
