Help Importing contacts list to Galaxy Ace

hello here are the following solutions:
1. Google has the ability to sync your contacts if you have sync enabled in settings, it will save all your contacts to your account and re-download them on a new device.

2.
Open your contacts application

Make sure All contacts are visible, unless you only want to back up certain groups.

Hit the menu button

Hit the Import/Export button

Copy the file it creates to the new phone or place the SD card into the new device and follow the same steps as above but hit IMPORT locate the file you created with exporting and select it, your phone will import the contacts from that file.

Many thanks for your quick reply on this one.

In fact I have managed to export all my Email contacts but it's the actual telephone numbers which are missiing. I will try again using your method.

Hello again,

I have created a phonebook file in .npf format which I will copy to my smartphone.

However I am presuming I need a downloaded app like Phonesync to enable me to establish this as a phonebook on the phone?

The supplied phonebook (accessed from the phone main menu) doesn’t have an import facility.
Am I correct, then, in thinking I need a downloaded app for this?

Once again, all responses are appreciated.
