Root improving 4g connection after rooting

Hi all. I have a samsung s4. The 4g connection has become pretty poor and i have to keep restarting the phone to restore a good 4g connection. Sometimes i get a few hours between restarts but sometimes only minutes before the connection gives up again.

My only reason for rooting would be to improve this. Can anyone offer any advice on specific things i can do under rooting to help maintain a strong internet connection?

Try toggling airplane mode off and on.

If that restores it, you're getting a lock on a bad tower and your phone has nothing to do with it.

If you're on Sprint, update your PRL and Profile.
