In Android O, Google is adding in APIs to Android to make colors look the same across devices

At Google I/O today, Roman Guy spoke about some new APIs that will be included in Android O that focus on colors. The goal is to allow developers to create an application that looks the same on all devices, no matter how different the color calibration is.

I'm excited about this! Think about all the devs and designers that spend hours on designs and then run it on a device and it looks like crap. Then you test another device and again doesn't look the same as either your original design or the last device!

The best aspect of all this is that Android O will do the hard math needed to do the color conversions.
