Help In call audio issue

Since I have gotten this phone everyone has been complaining about the call clarity. They have a big issue hearing what I say, they say I sound muffled. I finally tried it myself and yes it is hard to hear the person using my phone. I have an Otterbox case and have tried it with it off and still the same. Is there any way to turn it up or anything or is this something I will have to talk to Rogers about?

I only have had it a month or 2, would they just exchange it?
If so is there an easy way to copy all from mine to new phone including home screens and nova launcher preferences?

UPDATE:
Re-tested with the Otterbox off of it and it sounds perfect. Must have had a bad signal before when testing. I tested with the rubber casing off and just the hard case on it and it still sounded muffled. Does anyone with this case have this issue?

Maybe call Otterbox and see what they say?
 
Update2:

Otterbox is sending me another case to see if that fixes it. If not they will have to work on a fix I imagine. The case is so new. I have to say though Otterbox has my business they have awesome customer service.

Yep, any one I know who's had issues with an Otterbox product says exactly the same thing. :)

Just of of curiosity when you where testing the Defender case did you look to see if anything was obstructing the small mic hole on the bottom of the phone?

I get my replacement Otterbox today so i will update this thread with my findings.
 
UPDATE:
Just installed my new Otterbox and made a phone call to my mom who was very frustrated with it. She put on her headset and said she could hear me fine. Called my girl and she said she does not think it is any better. I will continue to test this one for a week and see how it is in different settings. I will update more then.
 
Having same problem. got in touch with HTC service. They told me i could send the phone back to them and they would check it but expect to pay between 125$ to 180$. that sucks.
 
Update:
got my phone back from repair they apparently flashed it (big deal). That said it appears to have fixed it. With the case off my girl says it sounds like a regular phone. With the Otterbox on it sounds a bit worse but that is to be expected I think.

Thoughts?
 
No nothing obstructing either. I actually went and got the Otterbox Commuter case for it to try as Rogers said they would take it back if it performed the same. Much to my liking it sounds PERFECT to everyone I have called or that called me. So i guess there is a design flaw with the Defender for the HOX. That was my experience anyway. That said I like the Commuter better anyway, much thinner. Again to be expected.
