Help In call volume Is terrible.

I recently installed cyanogen 7.2 on my desire z (bell). My main reason for doing this was to increase the in call volume on the phone. I have searched the forums and the Internet and have not found a way to increase the maximum volume. I know the placement of the phone on your ear makes a difference but even in the sweet spot the volume is still too low. There must be a setting or something that will allow for an increase of the volume.
