in-call volume

Ok I was reading on xda forums that if you go into the phones service settings you have got a chance of raising the incall volume. But I have now rooted an I am on 2.2 rom. How can I get into the service settings or is there another way of doing this?

to get into the service settings do the following

from the lock screen (phone lock screen)
press home so that the screen lock shows then press the following
Home, Back, Back, Home, Back, Home, Home, Back

this will allow you into the settings background but i have just been through mine and in the service settings i havent got the option to raise the volume only got information about software etc and settings tests

The idea is that you increase the volume whilst the phone is running a speaker test and earphone test. Don't know whether it actually works, but might be worth a fiddle!

see cause the phone is rooted and i am using a custom rom on android 2.2 that code doesn't do anything for me.

can anyone help me with this please. there may be a chance i can make my in-call volume louder!

You cant do anything about it... Google X10 in-call volume and see how many times it has been asked!

As I said when the phone first came out, if SE could have made the volume louder they would have on release or one of the first patches they released.

If they did nothing by 2.1 then I doubt there is a way till the S1boot is cracked and even then unsure if it can be raised?
