In car phone bluetooth connect/disconnect/connect...Audi

Anyone have this problem?

Basically the bluetooth worked perfectly with my BlackBerry Torch 9800 for the past year, however when I switched to my S2 LTE/skyrockets-in-flight phone this week, I started having trouble.

When I get in the car with the phone and start it up, the phone connects like normal and bluetooth works fine for making/receiving calls. However within a few minutes (anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes) it disconnects from bluetooth, then a minute or so later, it reconnects. In the Audi when this happens, it makes a very annoyingly loud tone each connect/reconnect and mutes your music for 3 seconds as well, so I'm about ready to toss the phone out the window.

So far I have tried:
  • deleting the 'pairing' and repairing
  • changing bluetooth settings to be always visible and not timeout
  • changing screen timeout settings to the max possible
  • turning off battery/power saver options
I have encountered a couple of other S2 users with this same problem (and others who have had no problems). I personally had this problem on a previous phone a couple of years ago, but it was cured with an update to that phone's system software (BlackBerry Bold 9800).

Anyone else had any similar problems with their Samsung S2? Other Android phones? Anyone have a solution? I will pay 10 internets to whoever helps me solve this.

Samsung 727/S2 LTE/Skyrocket
Android Version 2.3.5
Build Version Gingerbread RUXKJ7
Network Rogers

yes!! this is happening to me as well in my Acura. Same model, firmware and Rogers.
it disconnects randomly but I don't think it reconnects again. my only solution has been to reboot the phone.
it's making me nuts. another blutooth problem is streaming A2DP. the music stutters and is semi staticky.
i also have people telling me that my call quality is horrible. I hear them fine but apparently I sound like a Transformer...

I read on another forum that ICS fixes the A2DP problem. Hopefully, it fixes everything else too.

I am pleased to report that the phone now works flawlessly with my Audi's bluetooth.

The solution? Ice Cream Sandwich/4.0

I upgraded the phone to ICS, and it immediately began co-operating with the bluetooth.
