Hello guys,

I am in a big problem due to something that happened with my phone. It is a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android.

The thing is that this morning my wife yelled at me showing me some fake calls made to my cellphone and that appear in the call log. So far nothing wrong with that, however the incoming calls are frOm my ex-girlfriend. They hate each other by the way:o

The problem is that I NEVER got a call from that girl since I am with my wife. I can't honestly understand why such calls appear in my phone's log.

There are 5 calls that had supposedly been made since july, they are from 1 minute to 3 minutes long and even made while I was at work looking like I answered the phone but at work I can't even answer the phone. Now my marriage is at risk due to this fake calls I'd never received.

I am pretty sure my ex has something to do with all this but I am wondering how the hell she did that. The call even shows a picture of her but I have not a clue if my phone has been hacked or there is a BlackHat app out there that can do something like this.

Are you guys aware of how she did it? Any help would be really appreciated.

TOMAS

Hello and welcome to Android Forums, tapiatom. :)

Hmm... I don't know why, but have you tried adding her as a blocked caller? I don't have a clue how that happened I'm afraid.

Is there a possibility that the Ex's number is shared by someone you actually talk to? You see, the call log has this little idiosyncrasy.... if there are duplicate numbers in your address book, it always goes to the first one to identify it.

For example, I have a dozen or so contacts at work all listing our main switchboard number as the "work" number. The first contact with that number let's call Jennifer Aniston because it starts with an "A" (and I'd never turn down a call from Jennifer Aniston). If the office calls me, no matter who dials, the caller ID is the switchboard number and therefore Jennifer's contact information pops up. If I call the office on the main switchboard, even if Joe Pesci answers or I get the Automated attendant and punch in Joe's extension, the log will show that I called Jennifer. The only way around it is to make sure they have unique numbers.

Note to everybody: While the OP is using his personal situation to emphasis the severity of the problem and the urgency for an answer, he is asking for help with his phone, not his marriage. Let's keep the marital advice to ourselves.

Thank you guys for your replies. Things with my wife are better now. I decided to call Movistar's customer service to see if I could get access to the registered call log in their data base but they told me they can't offer information about incoming calls but outgoing calls. My idea is to get access to those records in order to prove I did not answer such calls. However due to the law in my country this can only be done with and order form the judge.

I will still try to get to the core of all this sh!t and find out how that b!tch is doing this. If any of you could give me a hand with that...Cheers.

Most intense thread I have seen in a long time. Glad you and your wife got it sorted out. Again I would check any sort of networks that sync with your phone and see if somehow she is there. Also, for things like facebook where your pho e number can be released to the public if you haven't modified your privacy settings, you might want to...now

I would change all of your passwords (Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) if I were you. Also SPC is a good call blocker so if she actually tries to call, it wont go through.

I signed up because I had a problem of my own which I wanted help with but saw this thread. I have a Galaxy S2 and noticed a strange bug in Kies Air (Maybe also in the Kies desktop client, but I don't use it). I've noticed it once in the call log and it sounds similar to what you're describing. Whenever I would get a text from my service provider it would display fine in the messaging app but in the call log it would occasionally appear to have been sent by a random contact in my address book (usually it was my ex-girlfriend, similar to your situation).

No idea if this information helps, but it may be a good idea to try and reference the times yourself to see if it was a different call that was incorrectly displayed in the log.

Thanks for your replies!

Just a short update on this issue. I spoke to a police officer who works with this kind of investigations and he mentioned one computer program that can actually create fake call logs on someone elses phone. However we agreed with my wife that more than techonology or something like that, it all comes down to one word and it is "trust". She feels more confident now about our marriage and our love.

I decided not to follow any steps to uncover what that other woman's been trying to do but to focus in strengthtening our own relationship.

Bless you all!
