In my day ...

We has domething similar, it was pink, green and light blue. Not even close to being a good idea.

In my day organic meant you grew it yourself in the back yard, not twice the price in a special section of the market.

I love good bread. My mother baked sour dough bread and the neighbor lady baked french bread. They swapped loafs weekly so we had a variety. :) Both breads were excellent. I was gifted a bit of sour dough starter from a lady years ago and tried my hand at duplicating my mother's bread. No such luck. :( She put her self through school by working in a small town bakery. She had the touch.

I could go with some heavy crust rye bread... sounds great!

I remember baking my breads and other goods along with canning the fruits from the yard.

When I was a kid we had appl and pear trees, and abouyt30 feet along the fence which was all raspberry and loganberry canes. Oh, and redcurrants, white currents and Gooseb erries. a neighbour had a loely peach tree as well. We used a lot of Kilner Jars to preserve the fruit, and made Jam and Wine with the rest. - I still make wine, Blackberry wine in a few weeks.

In my day, we just sat together in swimming class and burst out in laughter, because there was a shark in a tube top, then we quickly ran :)

In my day, I also made beer. draft in 2 gallon (plastic) barrels that originally held scrumpy (Very strong cider - about 8% ABV)

……… .. in my day… we could get into a "school-yard-phite"…… ..and live!
