ROMs in need of a rom

unfortunately i didnt come across anything via google.. i do see some cyanogenmod requests for port to the device though so hopefully it shouldnt take too long.

if you can find me a stock rom in zip format, i can mod the stock rom via cygwin if you want.

no, but you could pull the components i would need for a build:

system.tar , boot.img, and meta-inf.

should be in the second or third post on how to get those items.

youd need to factory reset and all that so none of your personal info is transferred. im still looking around for that stuff so you dont have to go through all of that lol
 
I will give that a try and get back to you as soon as possible.i can upload the files to my google drive and share them with you or what ever you want me to upload them to. I have to run to do a few things but I shouldn't be long.i'm not in a big hurry so take your time,if you have to do the work. thank you very much for your help I really appreciate it. if I can help in any way let me know,if you need me to setup a place to share these files for others in need let me know. thanks again
 
I got all the files and saved the youtube video too. I am pretty good with computers and almost any electronics so this should go smooth.

I understand.i want to try because this is really interesting to me and if I can't I will let you do it because you have more experience than me

should i be using a computer with a version of linux when trying to do this stuff?
 
if your wanting to use the kitchen to make a rom you need those 3 items i mentioned ^ up there. Here's what you need:

1: META-INF Folder: ---> http://varunbpatil.github.io/2013/03/02/apps-zip/#.Ulg5W1DbPCc
2: System Folder : if rooted , factory reset (so theres not a lot of junk files.) the
device and download terminal emulator. Command to pull the system folder would be:
----> su
----> tar -c system/* >> sdcard/system.tar
3: Boot image : ---> [Tools][script] ROM Tools v2 (Boot.img backup)(BML15 IMG backup) - xda-developers
 
i did get them programs setup and running for the most part but it kept saying something about grub or something like that was missing,i just loaded ubuntu on my laptop because as i was reading the instructions it recomended ubuntu. thank you for the help i'm working on it now. i will let you know whats going on in a few. thank you very much.
