The only thing you might miss is SMS, but hey... that's what GTalk is for. Can I live in this Utopia with the Magic? Can I break free of the corrupt wireless carrier cartel?

In the uk, the three network distributes free sims that allow free skype to skype calls. That's the closest I know, but of course the Magic in only available on contract from vodafone.
