In what sense is current version 4.3? Camera, et al

There have been a lot of hype articles about the Android 4.2 camera, as opposed to the previous version. After updating to 4.3, my camera app still looks nothing like this one Get the Android 4.2 Camera and Gallery on Non-Jelly Bean Phones

I have no life and therefore nothing to take pictures of, but I am perplexed as to the reason my phone does not have the features that the internet thinks android 4.3 should have. As far as I can tell, the android 4.3 update added nothing except for samsung crapware, hideous icons in my phone contacts list, and support for galaxy gear, which I have no intention to purchase.

I specifically have a verizon phone, but I don't think that is relevant as far as what features were included in the update.

Eh? or is the camera really in there somewhere?

thanks. so what about the other stuff in stock android 4.3? is it fair to assume that every feature in stock 4.3 is either:

-included in samsung's 4.3 update, or
-replaced by a samsung specific feature

Yep pretty much. Some stuff like the camera is an improvement over the stock Android apps IMO.

The non-samsung android 4.3 things are tucked away behind the scenes. Its not so much that samsung removed things, they just threw other things on top :)
