Incompatible Custom Recovery issue

Hi,

My android tablet is iBall Brace-X1 which is….
· Android: 4.4.2
· Baseband version: iBallMOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V34.P1,2014/09/28 15:07
· Kernel version: iBall3.4.67
· Build number: iBall Slide MJK Brace-X1_KK_V2.07,2016-01-12_19:19
· MT6592
And its RAM is 2GB and internal storage is 16GB.

While running the command, fastboot flash recovery twrp-x.x.x.x-xxx.img, the error message is image is not supported. I see the same message for edition of TWRP. It means, none of TWRP edition is compatible with this device.

While running ClockworkMod, the error message is device is not supported.

None of Custom Recovery (TWRP and CMW) is compatible with this device. Please guide me to fix it.

Regards
GNS

Can you post a screenshot of your custom recovery flashing attempts?

I'm not finding that error message with regard to fastboot flashing--there are others that say "variable not supported", but not "image is not supported" in either a Google search or in examining the stock fastboot.c source code.

And you're saying that trying to flash ClockworkMod custom recovery gives you a different message. vs. trying to flash TWRP custom recovery (can you post a screen shot for both attempts, please)?

I'm guessing you found versions of those custom recoveries specifically made for your device from somewhere...what site was that and did they include flashing instructions.

Cheers!

edit: also, is this your device where the bootloader is locked? If so, you may indeed NOT be able to flash a custom recovery on top of your stock recovery if your bootloader is (still) locked...
