Help Incorrect timezone on text messages

Hi. Yesterday I installed Handcent to use over the stock text messaging app. Everything is working just fine with Handcent. But today I went back to the stock messaging app and my incoming texts are time stamped 3 hours off. I have an east coast phone number but I live on the west coast. My outgoing texts are time stamped correctly. But now my texts are all out of order only in the stock app. It wouldn't be a problem because everything is completely fine in Handcent, but I back up my texts periodically and that app backs up off the stock text messaging app. Not a huge deal since I can also back up texts with Handcent, but would prefer to keep using the backup app I'm already using for continuity's sake.

Any ideas or words of wisdom? Thanks.

i was on vacation when i got the update and had this exact thing happen to me. it was only on the stock SMS app. i don't use it, so it didn't bother me, but it was something i took note of.

good to know i'm not alone, but sorry i can't actually help you.

I ended up downloading SMS Time Fix and set it to correct the few messages from that first day that were time stamped incorrectly, which was easy since they were still dated in the future when I downloaded SMS Time Fix. I checked my texts and they reorganized themselves properly. I then set it to fix any messages dated in the future.
