  • Go to Settings > Developers Options and choose "Background process limitation"
  • By default it is Set to "Standard Limit" . Change it to "No Background Process"

It will Reduces your Background Process and make your android smartphone faster and Improve speed your android phone
 
And also severely limit your phone's multitasking capabilities.
Not recommended
Basically only one app will stay cached at once so when you go to open another app it will take much longer and use a lot more battery.
Please no one follow this advice. Sorry op
 
Funky's right. Limits multitasking capabilities and reduces the usability for most people doing ordinary tasks.

It could be kinda useful for intensive work in a single app or maybe a hard-core gamer trying to squeeze out a bit more speed for zapping aliens.
 
There's some discussion here and again here on the consequences of adjusting that setting.

I probably wouldn't set it to zero, but limiting the background processes to ~4 could be helpful on low-RAM devices.

From @EarlyMon in one of those threads:
HTC has actually advised using that option in a number of cases.

For a ram-limited phone that goes into ram thrashing on trying to multi-task large memory apps, it's a pretty good solution.

Uses Android task management, just tightens up the multitasking parameters under the hood.

No service orphans, and within bounds of the rules.

But - use judiciously. Start at the most and work your way down.

And pretty much not at all if your device is not experiencing a real multitasking problem.
