increase notification volume beyond "max"

i have no problems with all the other sounds on my galaxy s 2 except from the notification sounds which is like 20% of the volume of the ringtones.

can i increase it beyond the max setting in the volumecontrol, i barley can hear it when im in a quite room 0,5m from the phone :S

I've downloaded this nice eq named Equalizer, but I found out that it equalizes my ringtones and notifications as well...

the problem is that I now almost cant hear them anymore, but still want the equalizer just to affect my musicplayer... anyone knows if thats possible?

There may be a phone specific tweak you can do for this; Samsung Galaxy S2 - Android Forums could be a better bet for help. They usually have a "tips and troubleshooting" section to them too which are great
