Help Increasing Number of Rings

I have two questions (I hope I'm not being too cheeky posting them both under the one heading.

Q 1 (most important). Is there any way of increasing the length of time or the number of rings before the answer phone kicks in?

Q 2 I bought my S2 at the end of August on o2. Is there any way of telling if I'll be able to use NFC when it becomes more available?

1. yes
this is network operator specific.
You will have to search for O2, but I'm on Orange, and this is done in the following way:
**61*07973100123*11*[nn]#
where [nn] = number of seconds to ring (5-30)

perhaps its just a case of changing the voicemail number to O2's, but I'm not sure.

2. AFAIK GS2 is not NFC compatible
