Incredible to Vigor, Galaxy 2, or Bionic

Currently own the Incredible and have really liked it, but thinking of upgrading to a larger and faster phone. Was thinking of going with the Thunderbolt due to the 4G, but wondering if it is better to hold up until later this year and go with the HTC Vigor, Samsung Galaxy 2, or Droid Bionic.

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

The current mindset seems to be either the SGS2 or the Bionic, and the winner seems to be the SGS2, for now, but it depends on how badly Motorola wants to win this fight - b/c w're still guessing at the reworked specs of the Bionic....

Wow i'm in the exact same predicament, HTC incredible, i love HTC except for battery life... Motorola Constantly disappoints. i'm gonna wait to see some details on the HTC Vigor before I decied on anything....

I thought the Vigor actually had the edge?

The TB is not with out its issues, the D3 is good, but no 4G.... If you can wait to see what comes out over the next couple of months, that is the best plan. I don't play in fantasy land & what will be. I judge the phones once they are released. I don't have time to read up on phone specs that are changed before they are released.

D3?

i also have the incredible and been wanting to upgrade for sumtime now..the bionic looks nice but im not really a big fan of moto phones..the galaxy looks amazing and its crushing all the other phones out rite now i was actually thinking of buying it depending if it has 4g lte or not which im sure it will..but the thing is i been a loyal fan of htc phones and would like to stick with them and was dissapointed all the other carriers was getting top notch htc phones evo/sensation ect.. and verizon wasnt stepping to the plate, until i just heard of the vigor..that phone is looking to be a beast of a phone its about time verizon gets a high quality htc phone on time!! and not a yr later.. so far if the rumors are true it may have a 1.5 ghz dual core processor..220 gpu and it might be the first phone to have an 4.3 inch 720p hd display with a resolution of 1280 x 720!!!..which is very very impressive..coming from an incredible user this will be my next phone if the rumors hold true! good luck making your decision im sure u will be happy with any of these phones

I second your thoughts. :)

I too have the incredible and I love it as much as the day I got it. Been very pleased with it. Being an HTC fanboy, I am more than willing to wait for the vigor. Sounds like a beast, hopefully it looks sexy.

I never posted before. I got obsessed with the HTC Incredible thread and lurked for months. Been wanting a dual core been searching the Vigor for the last few weeks. Don't know if thats a credible site or if its in bad taste to post another website link. It looked like a new image....sorry to the mods if I messed up. Just wanted to contribute for once.

the bionic would be great, if the bootloader wasnt encrypted, but unfortunately thats not the case, it will probably ship encrypted, and further down the road, moto might say something around the lines of we will set up a website to unlock your device. and it will then void your warranty, i would def be ok with this as long as we are provided with an SBF file to resurrect our devices

Think I am sticking with HTC:

HTC to launch as many as eight new smartphones in Q3

The only issue I have with that article is that it's supposed to be about the Vigor, and yet they have pictures of two Windows phones up instead. Immediately after a line reading, 'And we have a great opportunity to see what it looks like'.

I want to see what it's going to look like. Is it going to be another boring slab of a Thunderbolt, or excitingly different like the Incredible? :)

More info in time :D

As for the Vigor, it sounds more along the lines of what the Incredible was, than what HTC did with the TB, which in my opinion was not a true advancement. Holding onto the Incredible until the next best thing comes along....The Vigor! :D

I wonder if they would mind me changing the name?

If I get it I'm rubbing off the R, and calling it the Vigo. Who you going to call? (I'll give you a hint... 1989)

So isn't the Bionic long overdue after delay after delay?

How is it suppose to compare with the upcoming HTC Vigor?

I too have the incredible and had been waiting on the Bionic for the dual core processor. Now that it's been delayed so long the Vigor is on the horizon. I see in the pics that it has a slide out keyboard. I hope that's not true since it will probably on the heavy side.

Seeing as I saw Bionic cases in physical stores back in the beginning of July and it is finally coming out Thursday, I think it'd be wise to make a decision based on when you want or need a phone.

Bionic has been reworked from the original model. According to a specs post on these forums the battery life is really great for a dual core LTE. I do see a "roadmap" for the Vigor being released early October, but the Bionic had many rumored release dates too. The decision is yours: get a Bionic now/soon, or play the waiting game again with the Vigor.
