Help Incredible wont turn on

I recently purchased an htc incredible off ebay. When it cam it was fully charged but after about a day, it was pretty much dead no surprise there.I put it on the charger and went to sleep. I woke in the morning to find my phone giving me a low battery alert so i played around with it a bit and realized it would charge for about 5seconds before it would stop. Thinking it was just a problem with the adapter or battery i bought a new adapter and an extended life battery. They came and while my phone would only charge about halfway at night i was usually fine. I woke up this morning and my phone was off and wouldnt charge or turn on. I have tries many times to tirn it on and occassionally it will show me the htc screen and tjen go dead again. I tried my old battery and it would turn on but it had no juice left. Can anyone tell how o can fix it?

Sounds hardware related... Only thing you could try is to fully charge a battery by other means...and if the phone doesn't stay on with a known fully charged/working battery... There isn't much you can do, other than replace then phone.

sdrawkcab25 is correct. It is most likely a hardware issue I'm afraid. You might take a q-tip and some alcohol and try cleaning the battery and phone connections. While cleaning you might inspect the connection between the two to make certain there isn't a problem. This won't likely buy you a thing but it's a cheap test.

I'm sorry you are having problems. I would like to extend a welcome to Android Forums to you. I hope the problem can be resolved without a return or repair.
