Infected?

I sure hope someone can help ease my fears.

I have had my HTC Inspire for about 9-10 days now. Today, I happened to go into the mnt>sdcard>download folder and saw 5 spreadsheet files with lots of Chinese characters in each of them and 1 HTML file that also had lots of Chinese characters. The HTML file contained a reference to 163.com and "www.gaosenpx.com".

I didn't download these files and have no idea where they came from. Nor do I know if they are malicious or harmless.

Anyone know what this is about?.

I would just delete them and use your phone a bit more cautiously. I'm not seeing how a spreadsheet file could be malicious on an Android device. Keep checking back in your download folder to see if they reappear. One of your applications could be putting them there.
