just a heads up to noobs like me who think they can "figure out" how to create a ROM... DONT! i used metro pcs stock rom as a base and was working on it for about 2 weeks now (just seeing if i can to be able to help other DEVs and their awesome work) and i thought i had it under control... i most certainly did not have it under control. now i have perma-bricked 3 phones and am now out almost $300 lol. the money isnt a "huge" deal to me but i figured i might let others know that dabbling in development might be fun, its a serious thing. dont make the same mistake i made (3 times). i hope this helps someone down the road to ask for help instead of thinking they can do it alone

unless you used rom manager there is a good chance these phones may be able to be fixed and set back to stock...
read the heck out of this forum then do 1 phone at a time. when ya reprogram the first one you'll have gathered enough personal information to fix the others or will know whats a real brick or not.
don't just junk them though, at least let someone else get a shot.
i've bricked a few but none have been total junk yet.but using rom manager is no turning around, your done. sorry about your bad learning experiance.

never used rom manager (read the forums and seen not to or will brick phone) my problem is as follows:
used stock kernel and stock rom as building point. went to flash rom and nothing... at all. no boot loop, no sound, no nothing. will not go into DL mode for odin and cannot get into recovery either. so im trying work arounds to see if i can figure a way to "fix" the brick
