Root Information overload. Please help

Hi. Noob Here.
I have read a lot of threads, sticky's and guides for dummies.

Evidently I am below the dummy level. There is way too much info out there and some of it seems outdated. I cannot filter and determine what is applicable now.

Just when I thought I understood things well enough, I went to download Clockworkmod and the file was not there.

Can someone please just tell me what I need and where to get it?

I have a prevail that I rooted around 18 months ago. However, I am not aware of any special mods etc. that I have. Here is what my about Phone shows

Model #: sph-m820-bst
Android: 2.3.5
baseband Ver.: S:M820.07
Kernel: 2.6.35.7
Build: Gingerbread.EJ06

I have no Idea what Kernels and so forth are.

I have downloaded Titanium backup and done a backup and deleted some bloatware.

The problems I am trying to solve are:
Low memory, and I often am unable to end a call. it seems to just freeze in the call.

I would like to partition etc, but as I mentioned I could not download CWM from that thread.

Would someone be willing to simply direct me to the current versions of the applicable mods (or whatever) that I should get, PLEASE?

Part of what is so confusing is all the different versions and "images".

What on earth are Images?

Again, I am sorry, I really tried to read up and figure this out on my own.
I guess I don't have enough base knowledge, and cant spend days reading the thousands of posts.

Thank you very much.
So How do I restore my apps and data that I backed up with titanium before doing this?
Is it not possible?
Do I need to re download things like Gmail and swype etc?

When switching ROMs its not recommended to restore apps/data with titanium. It can lead to issues later. And if there are any apps that you are missing and want back, just restore them with the instructions for restoring removed apps (in the ctmod thread)
How to add removed app's:
➯ Download this: RemovedApps.zip and CLICK HERE for instructions on how to add them

You can TRY restoring missing apps, provided you don't restore their data... but even then, there isn't any guarantee that it wont cause problems.

Whoa. Thanks for the heads up about Titanium. I did end up with two Bluetooth Share processes, but I figured I could just be clever about it. I think I'll do it the hard way and just re-download what I need (I took screenshots of all my folders).
