Help ingores sd card!

Help guys. I had rooted my play few days ago and it worked fine. Today when I tried inserting my sim card for the first time, it failed to recongize it. I rebooted my phone and noticed the sd card wasnt mounted. I tried mounting it, but it didnt work, this is where it all starts.
when I click "mount SD card", it shows up for a milisecond, with correct memory space and all, but then it says "sd card safe to remove" and unmounts automatically. I can't use any sd card with it now. I tried formating, using another card. I tried unrooting with Gingerbreaker, but it failed. After I lost hope I then did a hard reset, which removed everything and set it to factory state... but the sd card issue is still there! Same for sim card, it isnt recognised!

I would advise running a software update to reload the operating system back onto the phone. Please follow the bellow link to source the application you require for this:

Edit: Just a thought, have you made 100% sure the back cover is securely attached? If it is not the handset will not read the memory card.

It prolly is just the back cover. Same thing happend to me when I got it.

come to think of it, I did try testing it without putting the back cover in.
But I still have issues.

Basically when I run Gingerbreker again to root,it unmounts the sd card itself and goes to an endless loop.
I thought i had caused the sim card and sd card issues by freezing some apps with titanium backup, but they all seem unfrozen now

Okay push in all areas on the back cover. And go.to settings>memory>mount s.d. card and try there.

You're not very clear, try what? Like I said I did try it again after puttng the back cover on. Now the sd card is read, but Gingerbeak still unmounts it if you try to root the phone with Gingerbreak. If sony ericsson's Update software will unroot the device, then I can try that.

I updated my phone.
But now I cant root anymore with Gingerbreak. It seems this doesnt work with the latest firmware anymore. Ill start another topic for this,
