Personally I got given a code in a giveaway on g+ and then received the email one I'd registered for so I donated the extra one to our competition. I think the same goes for the others we're giving away

I rec'd my code 2 days ago but when I opened the game using my gmail acct it didn't ask for a code.
Does that mean I can give the code I rec'd away or is that code tied to my gmail acct?
