Initial battery charge

The start up guide states to charge the battery for atleast 30mins before turning it on first time.. Well I just stuck my sim in n turned it on m started using it while charging... Is this bad.. Will my battery not be to its full capacity?

It will be fine. The Guide errs on the side of caution, in case the battery has discharged by the time it's sold. Charging while in use does no harm.
