Initially loaded NFL Mobile June 9. Will astro backup allow free use

I can't find the original thread but I remember seeing if you installed NFL Mobile for Verizon before the end of July you had full access without paying for a VCast package.

I had NFL Mobile on my Eris. I upgraded to a DInc but still have the backup. If I install from backup then "Upgrade" the app will it function from a billing standpoint as if I originally had the app in June?

I thought the live video was becoming premium content for new users but those who had already downloaded it when video was free were grandfathered in.

It is, but the vidoe requires a V-Cast subscription ($10/month).

There is also some uncertainty over whether grandfathered phones will actually get the live video for free. The original app no longer works- it tells you to update the new one. Someone here posted that a CSR said they have no way to tell when you had the original app.

So I'm hoping for the best to get live video free, but won't be shocked if it doesn't work out.
