After digging around online for quite some time I came across a rooting software that rooted my tablet without any issues. KINGO ROOT. Look it up it's free. If you have this tablet (insignia flex 8 NS-15AT08 on android 4.4.2 KitKat) & need to root it, this is the only reliable program to do it. If it worked for me, it should definitely work for you.
