So, I have found a solution to those with bad GPS lock issues.
Normally, when I would go onto Google Maps app and try to find my location, it would take sometimes 2 minutes to find my location, usually 30 seconds to 1 minute. My brother's iPhone 4 would do it instantly.
So, I installed two GPS apps, GPS Status, and GPS Essentials.
GPS Status supposedly will alter your GPS settings to help with the filter, I'm not sure how well THAT worked. But, if you go into either app and go to the radar mode:
It will start to search for satellites in the radar and will lock on in 5-10 seconds.
Then the GPS will remain extremely accurate for about 6 days or so, then it needs to redownload the GPS positions and recalculate which ones to connect to.
Just thought I'd share this, it made me very happy.
