Help Inspire in Germany. 3G? GPS?

Hello guys. I will be traveling to Germany next week, staying there for two weeks. I would like to get a prepaid simcard from there to activate a data plan for the two weeks I'll be there. Is there any company in Germany that supports the 3G fequencies of the inspire (850/1900)? If not I will have to stay with edge.

Another question: if I precache my google maps on the area I will be, will I still need any interner connection to navigate on the GPS?

No. The HTC inspire does NOT have the 3G band used Germany, and the rest of Europe/Africa/Asia.

I guessed so, but thanks anyways. I'll have to make it with Edge.
