Instagram messages problem

So few days ago, i remembered a message that my boyfriend sent me, and I went back to our conversation but message wasn’t there, and he said that he didn’t delete it, and I also have read on this forum that people had this problems.So I am asking is it possible, for Instagram to do that?

I am using iPhone 7plus but this is the only place I found to ask

Nope they are still not there...

That's bad, I had a similar problem but with the next IG update, it was gone

yeah if they are not on the browser then that means the info is gone from their server and might be lost for good. you can try and contact instagram and see what they say.

Oh okay so it’s possible for Instagram to mess up so hard?
