Help Install android 2.2 over wifi?

My Captivate came without the ability to connect to any computer through USB. I have to do everything over wifi, including using an app to browse files over wifi. I would really like the new update as it will probly fix most of my software issues (including the no USB to computer option)

Is there any way to update my phone without usb? Or any alternatives to get my OS better without using usb.

Try installing the captivate usb drivers and see if you can connect to your computer because you need to use Kies to do the official update.
