Help install application directly to sd card

i had bought htc sensation xe
since no thread for htc sensation xe yet
my question are
1.is it rooting can harm my phone?i just want to enable installing apps directly to sd card?
2.how to install apps directly to sd card without rooting the phone?

You don't need to root your phone for this

> Settings > Application > Manage applications > select an app and move it to the SD card.

Or you'd use an app like SDMove for that job

but not all apps can move to sd card
apps that had got permission from the owner only are capable to move
i ask how to install directly apps to sd card without rooting the phone?

EDIT: See, this thread is in the Desire forum because Desire owner have to worry phone storage for apps.
The Sensation has enough phone storage for apps, so 'don't worry - be happy' with the Sensation

I had a Desire, so I know, with apps on the SD card there are some disadvantages.

it stuck on downloading for an hour i thought
i heard rumour it is bcoz new android maket got many prob..isn't

Sometimes there is a problem with download from Market, yes.

My solution is to cancel the download and then re-start it.
So never it stucks for hours

For to cancel a stuck download I press the download bar, so I get back to the app in market and then tip the cancel button ... voila
