Root Install official froyo while rooted?

Hi all,

Now that I've gotten my Vibrant back to the factory OS, I'm currently restoring all my apps & data using Titanium Backup. Of course in order to do that I had to root the phone.

Now, can I install the T-Mobile 2.2 upgrade using Mini Kies if the phone is rooted. Do I need to un-root, install the update then root again.

I'm not keen on going to a custom ROM after my recent experience. (Although the restore is going much slower than it did when I had installed the CM7 ROM)

You can use kies to install the update it will unroot the phone for you but you will have to reinstall your apps. So I would wait on the app install and yeah a custom Rom is not worth it I just had to shell out some cash for a replacement
