Installation folder on SD card

[ZekaPeka]

Hello, Android noob here!

I've searched this forum for an answer but had no luck, so here goes...

I'm considering installing about 2 dozen apps to my phone's SD card in order to leave internal memory available for more important stuff.

Now, I've installed a couple of them already and what I've noticed is that not most of them create their own app folder at SD card root. So if I proceed to install all the selected apps I'll end with a pretty messy root folder - and that's not counting all the data (folders) I would migrate later on.

Could someone please tell me how I can pre-define a folder on my SD card where all apps would be installed?

Presumably, it's just a path alteration so shouldn't be too hard?

Thanks!

You cant predefine a folder however you can symbolic link the app if you have Dual Partition SD cards . Search the All Things Root Forum of your phone for terms like a2sd+ ,Darktremors a2sd and Link2SD

Yes, ZekaPeka, as karandpr suggests, have a look in the device sub-forum for your particular phone. Here is the link to the list of links to all Android phone sub-forums:

Also, if you want to, you can just post your device model here and I or another Staffer who catches it will move this thread for you to that area where it'll be noticed by users who've dealt with that link issue with that device and Android OS version.
