Root Installed Android Bootloader Interface, didn't ROOT. Is it safe to send in for replacement?

I tried the old method before the latest update and realized it no longer worked. I was going to upgrade soon so I did not bother rooting the phone. The security is still showing as "S-ON" when I start the bootloader. Only finished this step:

public:windows_hboot_driver_install [RootWiki]

TL;DR: Installed Android Bootloader Interface on Droid Incredible, didn't ROOT, is it safe to send in for replacement?

Thank you for your time!

if all you have done is install drivers on the pc,it should be safe to send in the phone. :)

Well I updated the drivers on my phone to the Android Bootloader Interface. Does that affect anything?

Before the drivers, my phone was listed as "Android 1.0" when plugged into my pc. Now it reads "Android Bootloader Interface." So there is a change in the way the system recognizes it.

The drivers install to your PC, not to your phone. So, safe to send back.
