Root Installed CM7 - now won't recognize provider

I am using T-mobile and upgraded from 2.2.2 to CM7 and it won't connect me to the T-mobile network anymore. I'm a noob here so sorry if this is a stupid question, anyone have a simple explanation for this?

Has anyone else had this issue and resolved it? When I revert back it does recognize my SIM and T-mobile network so I know the SIM is fine. Any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

I installed CM 7.2 and gapps for the P500 and had the same issue -- no provider! I followed the steps in the above thread for v.20 and it worked perfectly. Thanks!

Help! I don't understand the link. Do I just need to download this: P500-v20G-baseband.7z and unzip it? I already have CM7 installed and it says V20 is ONLY for Official roms. Do I have to start over?
