Installing apps from PC

Newbie
Hi,
When I install apps to my S2, I usually look up the app in google play from my phone, or I install directly from the PC without physically connecting the device to the PC.

Is this feature only possible in google play? how come in Amazon app store or Appbrain it isn't like this? ther you actually have to connect your phone to the PC

thnx !

Yes, only Google does it that way. Google purchased the initial developer of the Android software so they're able to do pretty much anything to make it more intuitive for their supporters.

Use remote ADB server software on the PC, and as long as you're within network range and connected to your wifi, you can send adb install APKNAME.apk to the phone after it connects to your computer's wifi adb server and force install the APK from the computer without a connection :D
