Installing Apps on another mobile (childs)

I have recently purchased an android mobile for my son. He would like to install some apps which require payment but cannot do this without a credit card. I do not want to put my details into his phone so they are then available later on. Is there anyway I can do this? can I add his number to my google account settings so that when I choose the device I want to send it to I can choose his number?

Buy a prepaid card and use that. But be warned, once the card number is in the phone, they will be able to purchase as many apps as they like. (Until the card is used up.)

Thanks itallgood. I tried looking at one of these (Mobiroo) but it was limited and the app he wanted wasn't available from their site! Could you recommend any? I live in the uk and have tried Amazon but I cannot use the American Site!

My bank (Bank of America) offers what they call "ShopSafe" numbers, which are temporary credit card numbers linked to your real account. Each number has its own expiration date and spending limit, and they can be setup online in a minute or two. I setup one of these numbers and added it to my son's Google Checkout. Once one of these numbers is used, it can only be used with the same vendor, so I'm not sure if the vendor name that appears with Google in the charge details would affect this.
